Cango Wildlife Ranch has over 90 species of animals and is open 365 days of the year! The well-being and welfare of all our animals are paramount in the promotion of our conservation ethic to you, our valued guest.
To achieve these aims we promote the concept of Natural Encounters between you and a number of select ambassador species.

We trust that any Natural Encounter will offer you a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ sheer thrill, and will create everlasting memories. The contented purr and amber stare of our cheetah or a blood-pumping cage-dive with a mighty 4-meter Nile crocodile.

We hope that encounters with these magnificent creatures will encourage compassion and support in the plight that these species face on our fragile planet.

All contributions from Natural Encounters go towards the vital funding of our conservation and captive breeding programs. If you would like to become more involved in helping us to help them, we invite you to join our Cheetah Preservation Foundation (CPF) – which channels all contributions to the conservation and breeding programs both in the wild and here at the Cango Wildlife Ranch.

To ensure your special moment is never lost, our Experience Department will capture this moment on camera and present you with the option of purchasing a printed version of the photo in a photo folder, or the collection of images on a USB drive.

To ensure you are able to participate in any one of the above-mentioned encounters, please contact us prior to your visit to enquire the availability of the encounters you may be interested in, and the dates of your visit.

Customer Reviews

Cango Wildlife is a household name in Oudtshoorn. Obtaining yearly our annual tickets - is a must - as I am a Estate Agent at Chas Everitt and this is my recommendation to all new people moving to Oudtshoorn. The best outing for us as a family or just for me and my 4 year old grandbaby - it is always her first choice. Enjoying all the different animals which she name is we take the tour through the ranch. With the flood that we had earlier this year she still wanted to go even if she can see her favorite animals and feed them. Cango WIldlife is our family's favorite outing. - Janka

Kidzone was closed. Did not see any notification when booking the tickets. - Martin

All and all a 5 star experiance. Keep up the great team work. - Naomie

Was nice to see what you are doing for the animals - Christa

My review is based upon my 5 year old daughter's experience to seeing all the animals; in particular the flamingo's "Daddy is that a flamingo" while passing the CKI signage displaying the ostrich emblem. Imagine yourself having to explain to a 4 year old for 2 years while driving to creche daily the difference between an ostrich and a flamingo? Upon her first visit on 25/11/2023 Her response: :Daddy there is a flamingo" #superexcited A week passes: Shirna do you now know the difference between an ostrich and a flamingo. Her response: "Yes daddy" Thank you for making this possible - Elton
